Check? The volume of a rectangular prism can be computed by using the formula V = lwh. Solve for l. A) l = Vwh B) l = wh/V <----- C) l = V/wh D) l = Vw/h @johnweldon1993

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Not quite \[\large V = LWH\] If we want to solve for l...we divide both sides by WH

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Do you see why \[\large V = LWH\] the goal here, is to get L by itself on 1 side of the equal sign.... L = something... We see that L is being multiplied by W and H...so in order to isolate the L, we do the inverse operation of Multiplication, which is division...so we divide both side by W and H \[\large L = \frac{V}{WH}\]
