What is 16,700,000,000,000,000 estimated as the product of a single digit and a power of 10?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 2x10^16?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

As a single digit? Well I guess we need to round this up to 20,000,000,000,000,000 then And then we'll have 2 times some power of 10 but what is the power? that's easy, we count how many numbers there are after the 2...so we have 16 zeros after the 2 if I counted correctly so this would be \[\large 2 \times 10^{16}\]

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

count the number of digits from the 6 until the end

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

this will be the power of 10

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

the single digit will be 1.67 to next digit up
