MIT 21F Spanish I - IV (OCW) 9 Online
OpenStudy (landshark5):

When you do a conjugated verb: When I say Cantar (sing) and I put Yo (I) in front of it. Does it become (Yo canto) OR (Canto) ??

OpenStudy (gelidium):

Yo canto and canto are both fine. The conjugated verbs in Spanish have implicit the pronounin all tenses. If you are fluent in Spanish you don't use the pronouns always , because each pronoun has its verbal form. The people that speak Spanish understand the action without the pronoun if you say canto. Cantar present indicative. Yo canto Tu cantas El/ella canta Nosotros cantamos Vosotros cantais Ellos cantan.

Thank you.
