Find an equation for the tangent line to the graph of f at x=10. f(x)=(x-2)/(5x+7) Tangent line: y =? i need help plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take the derivative and plug in 10 to get your slope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i.e. compute \[f'(10)\]

then what?

Jon: What is the simplest version of the equation of a STRAIGHT line? The equation of a tangent line has a similar form. The slope of the tangent line is calculated as satellite73 has indicated, above. If you have the slope of the tangent line, and the point of tangency, which is ( 10 , f(10) ), then you're completely prepared to write the equation of the tangent line.
