explain whether or not a particle would have acceleration if (a) it's moving in a straight line with constant speed, and (b) moving around a curve with constant speed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a) No acceleration. Because speed is constant. (b) There will be acceleration, since velocity is changing. ( The speed is constant , but the direction is changing , so velocity is changing)
