The story called 'Home' by Gwendolyn Brooks is a tragic story of a family losing their house. The climax of the story is when, Papa and his family were about to lose their ancestral home, because of lack of money. Although the story's center theme is about losing their shelter, much of it consists the conversation of Maud Martha and her family. Moreover, this story can also be compared with the modern time economic situation. Overall, the story is an taught tight edition of Miss Brooks and her creative writing about a family's struggle to regain their old home.
