Suppose that A sends a segment with MSS = 1460 bytes to B. Suppose transport, network and data link headers that are added to the package totaling 60 bytes. Assume that ACK packet is very small so that we can ignore the transmission time / delay (but not propagation delay). Propagation delay between A and B is 10ms. The link between A and B is at 10Mbps. MSS = Maximum Segment Size, i.e. the number of bytes that a segment holds (exclusive of header).   Stop-and-wait: What is the effective data rate when using a stop-and-wait protocol based? ---- I would like to understand this :)
