Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee help =*( |3t-5|=2t Why is it when the absolute value is still a 3t-5 instead of 3t+5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kropot72

OpenStudy (kropot72):

This can be solved by forming two equations as follows: 3t - 5 = 2t ............(1) 3t - 5 = -2t ..........(2) When you solve (1) and (2) you will have the two possible values of t.

@yomamabf Are you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorrry yes i am

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Can you solve the two equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got it i just needed to make sure that the minus 5 is still there when the absolute value walls are taken out

OpenStudy (kropot72):

Good work :)
