Describe the stages of primary succession in land environments, including lichens, mosses, grasses, shrubs, ae? help please

well lichens are mosses so those are pretty much the same, anyways say the land is barren with no signs of life. bacteria and small plant like organisms start to develop. as they die they fertilize the area to sustain the next generations of the lichens. As more and more die more fertilizer becomes present and larger more complex organisms can live there. another word for the fertilizer would be dirt. so this process pretty much repeats itself until the grasses develop. The grasses bring animals to the area which carry seeds of shrubs and trees. before you know it you have a forest on your hands ... hope this helps
