i tried the process of finding the slope then inserting the slope and one point into the y-y=m(x-x) but that only gives me the formula for a straight line. Not sure how to get that curved lines formula

no there isnt, i mean i know it can be done. ive seen my professor do it in class, i just dont understand how she did it.
