For the most part though, you need to learn how to make your story fit. Like a puzzle.  Characters need to be in line with the setting. Such as speech, what tools they use, how they act, etc. That is important. Grammar and spelling is important, but use more intellectual words. They help not make the story look like a kids book, but it helps the reader create a different image. I hope this helps.
