Solve e^(x+3)=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Take the log base e of both sides then you get:\[x+3 = \log_e(1)\]Now think about e raised to what power gives 1. The answer is clearly zero as anything to the zeroth power is 1. We get \[x+3 = 0\] and x = -3 Answer: x=-3
