What is the measure of the indicated central angle?

OpenStudy (phi):

do you know the formula for the length of an arc, given the radius and central angle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No I don't

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

i don't remember it but i can try.

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

i think arc length/circum=arc measure/360

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

so 6pi/pi(15)^2=x/360 and you just cross multiply or fish :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\theta = \frac{ l }{ 2\pi r } \times 360\] l is the length of the arc..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry, I just never re-called a formula for that in my lessons, but I'm sure there has to be 1, thank you!

OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):

|dw:1411160449005:dw| so you multiply 360 by 6pi and then divide by 2pi15
