Im confused what it is saying

OpenStudy (phi):

f(-6) = 1 is asking if y is 1 when x is -6 the usual interpretation is to assume y= f(x) and we match up the x with -6 and 1 with y

OpenStudy (phi):

to answer, find -6 on the x-axis. put your finger on it. move up until you reach the line how high up (along the y-axis) did you move?

OpenStudy (phi):

or, notice that y=1 only happens at one spot, where x=0. That means y is not 1 at x=-6

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

well this would be false then

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, it is false

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

because of what you said

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

thank you
