OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

I found this recently, and there is a serious problem of plagiarism on this site. Please put up a rule on the front page or such?

OpenStudy (fateal):

ya true that, i always tell them where i got the info from cus i think its really impo for people to know...some sites arent always trusted...also for math giving a link to a web that will help them in the future.... is this the kind of solutions your looking for?? js

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

There are rules, but some people just don't follow them, and really don't care, since they think "oh it's only an online site," yet if they keep doing such things it becomes a habit and just makes it worse for them at the end...they'll learn eventually.

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

I hope so. My work is all done on my own

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

I always give people my own work, not some written response online..

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

I hate those people that do it for the medals

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

Not for kindness or knowledge they would like to share

http://openstudy.com/terms-and-conditions "You may not post, transmit, or share User Content on the Site or Service that you did not create ("Third Party Content") or that you do not have permission to post." [under "User Content Posted on the Site"] so it is technically covered in the rules, and anyone seen breaking any rules covered by the Code of Conduct, Terms and Conditions, or Privacy Policy can/should be reported

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

Hmm I didnt know that... Time to copy and paste code of conduct everywhere!

OpenStudy (dbzfan836):

ima leave this open for others to read.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Yes, a lot of people do not give credit where it is due. If they copy something, they should cite/link the source. However, as it has been pointed out this is covered in the rules. So you can report it.
