Why does the water seem bluer and clearer in the Caribbean, than the northeast part of the US?

the white sand on the bottom reflects the sun more than rocks

the seafloor is comporsed primarily of rocks

more blue coral is being reflected from the ocean floor

cooler water currents causes more clarity
