what makes it so that you are able to literally walk on the ocean floor in the Bay of Fundy?

OpenStudy (kohai):

You can walk on the ocean floor because the Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world. The tide goes out so far (half a mile in some places), that you can literally walk on the ocean floor at low tide. But be very careful, because if you get stuck out there once the tide has come in too much, you might drown or have a hard time getting back to shore. High tide occurs 6 hours after low tide so it's a good idea to keep an eye on the time if you are going for a walk out at low tide.
