I'm not sure of the name but it's basically multiplying 13 by 9 then 13 by 7 add a 0 at the end and then 13 by 3 add two 0 at the end!

I'm surprised a moderator would ask this question!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A man was trying to swim a buoy placed at a distance of 200m out in the sea. It took him 1min to swim 20m. Then a wave pushed him back 10m and he rested for about 1min before swimming again. He continued i this way for the rest of the journey. How long would it take the man to swim to the bouy? >help me with this please^-^

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

Like this? \[13\times379= (13\times9)+(13\times7)\times10+(13\times3)\times100\] I don't know my thirteen times tables ps. i am not a moderator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I suppose it would work but I sort of dumbed it down!
