While society is currently undergoing many rapid changes, people disagree about their direction. Has the world, in fact, changed for the better or worse?



In my point of view.. it's gotten worse... despite the developments we've made, there are things that were better ages before now..
since i have to write a counterargument paragraph I've included some points that'll also go against my point of view...

developments in medicine

conflict between cultures remains
despite the new medicine, there also new diseases developing

...so, even there is a progress in economy, many people would still suffer because of population density..

yahh ive got a few other things:

better: limiting punishment, more reasonable, awareness of pollution

worse: ignorance; decrease in moral values + common sense; global warming; world-wide food + water shortage; land and sea disasters; raise in gas + energy prices; failing banks
