PLEASE HELP!!! POP QUIZ NEXT CLASS!!!! Jamie graphed the quadratic function Y=-2x^2 - 12x+3. The equation of the line of symmetry of the functions is x=-3. What is the vertex of the function?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

convert it to vertex form a(x - h)^2 - k

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do u do that, like i dont understand the question ,nor how to covert it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so like would it be (-3,21)

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

well i answered your question but lost the system

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

the x coordinate would be -3 vertex form is a(x -h )^2 - k kis y coordiante of vertex

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

Y=-2x^2 - 12x+ 3 = -2(x^2 + 6x - 1.5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks! lol
