-ax+2b > 8

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

what are we supposed to do with this ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve for x sorry :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am late to this course and a little behind so I wasn't here for this lesson now Im stuck :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x<(2b-8)/a

So you just subtract by both sides then divide?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

-ax + 2b > 8 --- subtract 2b from both sides -ax > -2b + 8 -- now divide by -a....and switch the inequality sign because when multiplying/dividing by a negative, the sign changes x < (-2b + 8) / -a x < (2b - 8) / a

Thankies!!! <3 :)
