Yeah. You can visit edx.org and take up computer programming course. And it would be better to have a reference book like C: The complete reference

I would start with a good class in Computer Science. Don't worry what language it uses. Like Harsha said, EDx has them. So does Coursera and Udacity. Some people use the MIT OCW materials. Once you know the basics of computer science, learning any programming language is easier.
