Which value of x makes the equation true? x-5.1=-7.6

OpenStudy (imstuck):

to solve this for x you have to get rid of the -5.1 that is attached to it. Since it is subtracted out on the left, in order to move it you have to add it in. Add it to both sides, though, not just the left side. Do the same thing to both sides of an equation ALWAYS in order to maintain the balance of the equation. What do you get when you add 5.1 to the right side?
