Question

a push or pull that gives energy to an object causing that object to start moving, stop moving, or change its motion?

Answer 1

It depends where on the object that force is applied.

Answer 2

Since it gives energy it won't "stop moving", but it could change it's motion and start moving.

Answer 3

If I had to choose one I'd go for start moving.
