Question

I am studying Mythology and Folklore. I just finished the story of Boudica.
I am supposed to cite a similar, more contemporary example of such a rebellion.
For the life of me I can not think of a similar example? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My answer -
In modern Day Iraq, Sunni extremists have stepped up attacks and rebelled against the pellete government that is backed by the US. The US has since launched air strikes against the extremist rebels. They are alike in that some of the local populace feel their rights have been taken away and they have been repressed by what they perceive as a foreign backed power. They are different in that they are not directly attacking the foreign power but the current government forces that are supported by the foreign power
