Mathematics 8 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

-9=j/5-14

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Are we solving for j?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (deepolisnoob):

What you want to do is find the value of j. In order to do that, you need to get j by itself add 14 to both sides... -9=j/5-14 -9+14=j/5-14+14 5=j/5 multiply both sides by 5... 5=j/5 5*5=(j/5)*5 25=5j/5 Simplify the 5 on the j side 25=j

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!!! :) you rock!

OpenStudy (deepolisnoob):

Anytime :)

sammixboo (sammixboo):
