Find the solution to the following system of equations using any method: 4x - y = 3 -4x + y = -3 How many solutions are there to the following system of equations? y = 7x - 3 -14x + 2y = -3 Find the solution to the following system of equations using any method: x + 2y = 3 2x + 4y = 1
I got them all as no solution, but I don't believe that's right
you are correct on the third one. If you use any method you will get an answer such as 0=-1 which is not true. Therefore, the equation from which you derived that fact is not true. However for the other two equations, look carefully and you will notice something similar about them. Graph them.
Oh knowledge it's you again!
They're the same lines, no?
If it's the same line does that mean they have All solutions?
well yes, the solution to the system is the line, all points on the line are your solution, because the answer is the line.
Ah, thank you knowledge! Would you mind helping me with another question?
