someone plz check my answer If an object is less dense than a fluid it is placed in, the object will sink <--- my answer float become completely submerged

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it should be float, think of ice in water. Ice is less dense because of all the air pockets.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i thought it will sink

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Ice is less dense than the water but it is not due to the air pockets.

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Water has a unique property. It is most dense at 4°C. Both increasing and decresing the temperature decreases its density

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its c

OpenStudy (abhisar):

No the correct answer is B only. Less density = Float More density = Sink

Got it ?
