Write the equation of the perpendicular bisector of the segment with endpoints (-3,5) and (7,1) please help I don't understand how to do this. Xox Thanks
kaileyycx u have to follow some steps to find the equation of perpendicular bisector: 1) Find the midpoint of the two points. {by formula: (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2} 2) Find the slope of the two points. {by formula: m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)} 3) Find the negative reciprocal of the slope of the two points. {-1/m} 4) Write the equation of a line in slope-intercept form. {by formula: y=mx+b} 5) Plug the negative reciprocal of the original slope into the equation. 6) Plug the points of the midpoint into the line. 7) Solve for the intercept 8) Write the equation of the perpendicular bisector.
