Over the years, there has been a steady increase in conflict between cultures and religions. Of course, we can't just forget the years that once held peace between religions, but now, it seems, it's more intense and overwhelming. Many people have grown too ignorant to simply accept the differences between one another, leading to massive issues. These disagreements result in biases and deeper prejudice between cultures, which obviously causes a feeling of depression over people. The weakening of faith, due to all the conflict, influences people of all sorts to put aside moral values. The lack of common sense, that we consistently see, brings forward a table of dislike and dispute. Conflict between mankind over the course of time may be one kind of example of a worsening society, but there are also general issues that have not been dealt with yet. While most first world countries are simply drowning in their own money, unfortunately, there are still countries that face hunger and health issues every day. Hardly any wealthy nation seems to care or even notice the necessities in the countries facing poverty. Had the wealthy nations put a grand effort into helping, there would be a dramatic decrease in poverty. But there remains food and water shortages, lack of electricity, and dangerous, developing diseases, not to mention land and sea disasters that make it all more difficult. Raising gas and energy prices doesn't seem to help the already terrible state, and eventually lead to failing banks world-wide. Some might argue with my perspective, and mention the developments that people have made in technology, education, medicine, etc. But are these all truly positive achievements? Massive advances in technology have undoubtedly made life a whole lot simpler and with education, there are many new, and great possibilities. But now we see that although these are important advances, they've somewhat backfired. Technology, for example, seems to be something we are dependent upon every single day of our lives. Shouldn't we consider that maybe we're over using technology and possible improperly. Despite the ease that's provided to us with the new technology, people have simply become too lazy to things the normal way. And that can lead to a whole new sea of worsening world traits, like the lack of excercise which leads to weight issues. There has been a significant increase in awareness of global warming and pollution, but, plainly, not enough is done about it to help fight the issues. The advancement in medicine is something for which everyone is greatful, but it isn't being put to good use either. Medicine isn't being delivered to the people who are in more need of it; the people that can't afford to enter a hospital, or don't have enough personal and family history to even consider going to hospital. This could easily be the cause of a world-wide disease battle. By now, it's quite clear that the world has so much to stabilize and repair. And unless differences between cultures and religions are resolved, or simply put aside, the world remains to be growing steadily worse. If differences can be diminished, the world would be united and and work together to make SO many advances. It would be loads easier because people would be helping one another. The sense of unity would help us sympathize with the poor and help them bring them out of their third world state. People would eventually determine moral values and become more attached in their faith. All of this and so much more is possible if we could simply start off, together.
