What do you think was the most important legacy of ancient Greece?
I would say their politics were probably the most important in the scheme of things. Not necessarily their ideas of politics, but their idea of the place of politics in society, their development of the concept of Political Science. Art I can see, from some perspective, but they didn't really leave behind any military works that remain applicable today. If it is about their greatest accomplishment, yeah maybe military, but legacy? The Roman forts, Chinese influence on strategy (Art of War being a major example), Parthian concept of cultural warfare, those are legacies. The Greeks, unless you know something I don't, pretty much fell out of importance quite a while ago.
Philosophy. ALmost all of the ideas and thoughts are from the Greeks.
