To change things to scientific notation, the decimal goes right after the first digit. So it will now look like this. 4.503. Now count the number of 0's after the 3. THere are 6 of them. So now in scientific notation, it will look like this. 4.503^6

then if @tkhunny is correct you need to count the digits after the decimal. It should look like >>> 4.503^9 or something to that extent. Correct me if I'm wrong
