order matters when writing logical conditional statements because what comes first is the condition "if", and after is the resulting action "then"
if you switch the order you get a completely different scenario

example:
If an animal is a dog, then it has 4 legs.
switch order
If an animal has 4 legs, then it is a dog. (Not true)
