OpenStudy (melissa_something):

1/3x-y=2 Find x. I know this is easy but fractions confuse me.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

add y to both sides of the equation 1/3 x = 2 + y now multiply both sides by 3 to find x this will remove the fraction

OpenStudy (melissa_something):

You have to set y to 0 to find x? :(

OpenStudy (isaiah.feynman):

If you just multiply only by 3 you would get, |dw:1411501301325:dw|
