6(3x + 6) = 8(7x - 1) -- she reduced the6 and the 8 by dividing by 2
3(3x + 6) = 4(7x - 1) ==== < first error..when she distributed, she didn't multiply the -1 by 4 correctly..it should come out to what I got below
9x + 18 = 28x - 4 -- subtract 9x from both sides
18 = 28x - 9x - 4 -- add 4 to both sides
18 + 4 = 28x - 9x -- combine like terms
22 = 19x
22/19 = x
