Recall slope = change of y over change of x. Substitute values. (-11 -(-1))/(-1-0) = 10. Try again with other pairs from (-1,-11),(0,-1),and (1.9)

For g(x) y = mx+b , where m is the slope. Therefore the slope of g(x) is 5.
The y intercept for g(x) is b or 1. The y intercept for f(x) is f(0), the value when x is zero, and that is given to be -1
