8. A quality control inspector is in charge of inspecting drill bits that are produced on an assembly line. The diameter of a drill bit can be modeled by the equation |x − 0.525| = 0.01. Show your work in solving the equation to determine the minimum and maximum diameters of the drill bits

Elsa213 (elsa213):

Solving for x in each equation above gives you -0.515 and 0.535. Assuming x is the diameter, it can not be negative (obviously). So I'm thinking they need to be within 0.515 and 0.535. Don't forget units if there are any.

BVS?

What lesson and assesment number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i remember doing that one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does you first post say @Elsa213

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what assesment is that

Elsa213 (elsa213):

lol Welcome To Openstudy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay and 2.04 why

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me see if I got that one so that I can copy and paste

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im working on 2.07 right now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay

4. A quality control inspector is in charge of inspecting drill bits that are produced on an assembly line. The diameter of a drill bit can be modeled by the equation |x − 0.525| = 0.01. Show your work in solving the equation to determine the minimum and maximum diameters of the drill bits. Add 0.525 to 0.01 to get 0.535 which means that x= 0.535

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im done with 2.00-2.06 accept for this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there you go

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you behind pace?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that help

OpenStudy (anonymous):
