Ambassador Application Questions: 1. Who are the people who can see your personal information? Can the previous Ambassadors see your applications too? All the moderators? ? 2. It says on e.mccormick's post that there will be one month training, is it everyday or there's a specific time? If you did not finish the training, can you still be an ambassador or not? 3. Is photo really necessary for application? What if you only send a birthcertificate/report card, will my application still be valid without the photo?

4. How will you know if you got accepted or not? Are they going to notify you they rejected your application? (For 5, not related to the application but i'll ask anyways) 5. I just found out that there's a limit when you are posting a question? why is that? O_O So I end up posting my 4th question on this area lol.

OpenStudy (fateal):

i was asking too, tbh i was filling it out then i saw that as deep as i go the more personal these questions get...like fr???

sammixboo (sammixboo):

@Preetha and @e.mccormick can help you on these questions. The photo ID is probably to make sue that you are not fake, so you don't end up as a chosen ambassador then start trolling the site and all.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

There is a 600 Character Limit also I believe when you post a thread. It could be to make sure you can't just spam a whole load of nonsense.

1. Who are the people who can see your personal information? Can the previous Ambassadors see your applications too? All the moderators? ? only a certain number of people are allowed to see the applications. only admins and the mods that are part of the ambi training team. no ambassadors will see your application. 2. It says on e.mccormick's post that there will be one month training, is it everyday or there's a specific time? If you did not finish the training, can you still be an ambassador or not? the new first cohort had a training session about once a week ish it was these: http://openstudy.com/users/e.mccormick#/updates/5326a704e4b06a39f86211dc http://openstudy.com/users/e.mccormick#/updates/53307600e4b0aad2d08dc766 http://openstudy.com/users/e.mccormick#/updates/5339a9bee4b02a0194d8ce19 along with some other stuff 3. Is photo really necessary for application? What if you only send a birthcertificate/report card, will my application still be valid without the photo? yes a photo is necessary, last time there were a few who were not accepted because they did not have a photo id

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The Ambassador Management team sees the form responses, but NOT the ambassador.admin@openstudy.com email. Note that on the form it does \(\textbf{not}\) ask for a full address. So your physical address is not known. The training is online and designed for self study. I use this site and another to gather responses and reply to people. This allows for anyone that can respond in English to finish the training. The reason for the photo is at least two fold. 1) inquus wants to know who their Ambassadors are. 2) It is a lot harder to fake a pic of a person holding a document when a better resolution pic of the document is available for comparison. Artifacts in the image due to photoshopping become more evident. As for rejections, with the first cohort I believe there was a consolation email. I don't know. I did not send it, but I think there was. My suggestion for this message was considered too trite... but sometimes an old saw is an old saw for a reason. Yes, the question are is limited size. It has to do with preview creation. But the first post is a good place to put longer things, like when I did my ambi recruitment notice.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

And sleepyhead314 found the old training posts that are on OS. Other than some revisions to the training text, the content will be the same. Need to make some goals of one part of the training more clear. And yes, some of the training goes on in the secret clubhouse... Not all topics are for public discussion. New training posts will be made, so no need to reply to the old ones.
