If each vitamin has 0.8 grams of calcium, how much calcium will 2.6 vitamins have? A. 2.08 grams B. 2.16 grams C. 3.4 grams D. 4.6 grams

OpenStudy (ineedhelpfast12):

2.6 divided by 0.8. You should get the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3.25?

OpenStudy (ineedhelpfast12):

that is what me and my calculator got

OpenStudy (phi):

if 1 has 0.8 then 2 will have 0.8+0.8 and 0.6 will be 0.8*.06= 0.48 0.8+0.8+0.48

OpenStudy (ineedhelpfast12):

@phi it will still be 3.25

OpenStudy (anonymous):

could it be 2.6 times 0.8 it will give you 2.08

OpenStudy (phi):

if you don't understand the question, change the numbers to make it easier If one vitamin has 1 gram of calcium and you had 2 vitamins, how much calcium is that ? do you divide ?

OpenStudy (ineedhelpfast12):

Bingo!! @jeanneryr

OpenStudy (phi):

yes, you multiply it's the same problem as if 1 hand has 5 fingers, how many do 2 hands have ? 2*5= 10 fingers except here we have 2.6 vitamins instead of 2 or 3 but it is the same idea, 2.6 * 0.8
