Bret had a rectangular piece of plywood with dimensions x feet and 10 feet. He put a frame along 15 feet of the edge of the plywood. An expression is shown below: (2x + 20) - 15 Part A: What does the expression represent? Part B: What does 2x + 20 represent? Part C: What does 2x represent?
so 2x+20 is the perimeter
I know this is easy but I woke up not too long ago and I am having trouble thinking ...
Well I only need to know what to say for part A. I sort of know the answer I just want to write it in a way that makes sense.
so then the plywood has the lenght 10 feet and the frame has 15 so the from thhis you get what mean the first part A

The expression represents the amount of plywood that Bret has minus the frame. 2x + 20 is the perimeter of the plywood if x represents the width, 2x = the sum of the widths if x represents the length 2x = the sum of the lengths
Just want to check the answer
I would say you are \(\normalsize\color{#22fb00}{correct}\)
ok thanks :)
