What is the inverse of the function f(x) = 2x + 1?

geerky42 (geerky42):

To find inverse of function, you just switch x and y to each other, then solve for y.

geerky42 (geerky42):

So you have f(x) = y = 2x + 1 swap x and y: x = 2y+1 now isolate y. that will be your \(f^{-1}(x)\)
