Orange War means the part of the server that does some updates, like notifications and the smart scores, is not responding the way it should.

I emailed the dev team half an hour ago when I saw it beginning to get funky.

At the moment, I see 8 mods on. Some are the school mods that deal with cheating issues. Two are admins, the dev admin being one of those. So all this is being looked at.

Message notifications are not working, so messaging a mod means nothing. Also, mods do show up at times as "on" when they are not. That is why report is better.

Orange War just breaks all sorts of things... so everything is harder.

Report also has the advantage of helping trigger community suspensions. So chat spammers can be self solved if everyone else in chat actually does a report.

has anyone noticed every time the orange wars is going on the LaTeX gets further and further to the right till eventually its off the screen? i have... and its really annyoying... i make a bunch of LaTeX that was a PERFECT fit on the screen. and with every session of the orange wars.. it gets further and further off the screen.... hope that gets fixed to =P

It has happened several times and each time for a different reason... so the fix won't be the same. It is like heart failure. There is not just one type. You can have a problem with a valve, he heart muscle, a artery, and so on. They are all heart problems, but each one has a different fix. Same with the notifications server. It is failing, but why is not necessarily for the same reason as last time.
