how would i Write the pseudocode for a program that asks a user to enter a username and a password

Think of pseudo code as a guide for the actual code you will write. So for the username, you would have something like:

string uName;
cout << "Enter a username: ";
verify username;
if (invalid){
prompt new username;
}

It's not quite code but it's not straight instructional text either. :)

You just write the most simple representation of the process you would follow.

username = prompt("What's your username?")
password = passwordPrompt("What's your password?")

Then you can flesh it out in actual code.
