What is the value of the expression? (–4)4

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Well always with multiplying integers with opposite integer signs it will always be negative. so all you have to do is multiply 4 and 4 then take that answer and add a negative integer sign on it

sammixboo (sammixboo):

\(\sf \large \color{magenta}{(-4)4}\) Take the \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{-}\) off of \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{-4}\) and multiply \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{4 ~x~4}\) and then take the \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{-}\) sign and add it on to the answer to \(\sf \large \color{magenta}{4~x~4}\)
