Try partial fractions. Factor the denominator and go from there. Do you know partial fractions method?

integrand \(\dfrac{1}{2(x^2-1)}\) and take 1/2 out of the integrate. The leftover will become \(\dfrac{1}{(x+1)(x-1)}\) use partial fraction.
