How would i solve this question? I don't want answers just help setting it up! The Empire State is 381 m tall while the Washington Monument is only 169 m tall If a penny were dropped from top of both at the same time, assuming free fall, what would be the difference in time in their reaching the ground?

OpenStudy (theeric):

Do you know a general kinematic equation that can help? There's one that describes the position using initial position, velocity, and constant acceleration! (there's time involved, too)

OpenStudy (espex):

If you are ignoring drag, you could set it up as a simple \(X_f = X_0 + V_{0}t + \frac{1}{2}at^2\) and solve for t in each case.
