JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

Starch and ATP can both be described as molecules that store energy. Compare and contrast starch and ATP in terms of storing energy and supplying energy for a cell’s work. @anoop27

OpenStudy (anoop27):

Starch is polysaccharide and contains large no. of Glucose molecules. and used for storing energy for long term.

JoelTheBoss (joel_the_boss):

thanks man your the best

OpenStudy (anoop27):

When energy required by cells, than Starch is broken to monosaccharides and and than to Glucose. Glucose broken down and produce ATP during respiration

OpenStudy (anoop27):

So we can say that, starch has to be catabolized (break) to form ATP so that cells can then use the ATP.
