A homogeneous mixture is a mixture of substances in which the molecules are evenly distributed throughout the mixture. An example of a homogeneous mixture is a solution. A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture in which the molecules are unevenly distributed, usually particles of substance contain a higher concentration of that substance than the portions of the mixture in which the particles are not. Examples of heterogeneous mixtures are a suspension, a colloid, or simply a general mixture such chex mix!
