Describe an important situation in which you had to make a compromise. Why did you decide to make the compromise? How did it solve the problem? I need to hear other peoples story. Its for my Journalism class.

Well, a compromise is an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side making concessions. In other words, a way of reaching agreement in which each person or group gives up something that was wanted in order to end an argument or dispute. One example could be your mother telling you to lean your room, and you wanting her to drive you someplace. You would have to clean your room in order for her to get your to that place, and if you don't want an argument and neither of you do it, then your room stays dirty, but you get stuck staying at home. I hope this helps you come up with a few more examples, and sorry if I'm too late. :)
