Why was Thomas Paine's pamphlet so popular with the colonists?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thomas Paine's pamphlet 'Common Sense' was popular with the colonists because it gave expressive detail on how America should revolt against Britain, because of the treatment they had dealt. This pamphlet had pushed many colonists to side with those who wanted to go to war with Britain, so it had a big hand in pushing for the American Revolution.
